Maluhia is a 4-bedroom/4-ensuite bathroom house located at Sunset Beach, with spectacular surf and ocean views from every room. This is a place for you to enjoy the peace and tranquility and recharge your batteries. Write that novel? Or maybe just read a few! It is a fully equipped family home with every kitchen appliance, bbq, bedding, towels, fully furnished.
The Maluhia Story
We visited the North Shore of Oahu for over seven years renting various properties until we decided to design and build Maluhia, our ‘home away from home’ with our award winning architect Jim and builder Greg. We spend a few months here a year too.
Maluhia is a double-storey award-winning architect designed house, completed in 2015. With wrap around lanais (decks) and glass sliding doors opening from every room onto the lanai. The trade winds flow through the spacious interiors. Our bedroom furniture was made by two local north shore craftsmen and the high-end mattresses and cotton sheets, and a choice of pillows, make for a night of comfort and relaxation.
The house is characterised by light and open spaces, clean surroundings, luxurious linen and super-comfy beds. Spacious bathrooms, a well-equipped kitchen and a gas barbecue grill on the lanai (deck). There are family hang out areas and private, escape alone spots with a tropical garden surrounding the house and lawns for the kids to play on. There is also secure parking for two cars right at the front door.
Living Areas
Each bedroom has an ensuite bathroom and TV. Fast wifi! If you love a laid back lifestyle and spectacular sunsets, in a private location, then you will love it here. The views from our lanai are epic from dawn to sunset. A walk to the local beach along a private road, takes about 5 minutes, or 2 minutes on one of the bikes provided.
Maluhia accommodates 8 people with two bedrooms upstairs and two downstairs. There is a living room on both levels too. Easy for a family or group to spend time in different parts of the house.
